An Injection molding machine is a machine for manufacturing plastic products by the injection molding process.
Injection moulding machine is the main molding equipment which can make thermoplastic or thermosetting plastic into various plastic products by using plastic moulds. It can be divided into vertical, horizontal and all-electric models. A typical injection moulding machine consists of the following major components.
The injection system, the mould system, the hydraulic system, the control system, the clamping system and typical molded system.
Injection molding machines can fasten the moulds in either a horizontal or vertical position. The majority of machines are horizontally oriented, but vertical machines are used in some applications such as insert molding, allowing the machine to take advantage of gravity.
There are many ways to fasten the tools to the platens, the most common being manual clamps; however hydraulic clamps and magnetic clamps are also used. The magnetic and hydraulic clamps are used where fast tool changes are required.
