When injection machine screw has difficulties on compress material at feeding port or along the length
of the barrel cannot form a sufficient adhesion to transport materials, then injection machine screw  on the occurrence of slippage. In the Screw pre-plasticizing stage, when the injection machine screw  in the barrel rotation along the screw direction of transport of materials and back accumulated material prepare next injection, the  injection machine screw  will slip. If the  injection machine screw begins to slip on pre-plasticization stages, then when the injection machine screw  continued rotation, the axial direction action of theinjection machine screw will be stopped. Usually injection machine screw slippage can cause degradation of the material before the injection,there will be a short shot, longer processing cycle and other product quality problems.

Screw slipping reason include: back pressure is too high, half barrel overheating too hot or too cold,
barrel or screw wear and tear, the  injection machine screw  feeder paragraph spiral groove is too shallow, poorly designed hopper,the hopper lack material or wall up, raw material too wet, plastic lubricant content is too high,
plastic material granules are too small, the shape of material granules are not good or recycle materials.
Non-return valve /check valve failure will cause the injection machine screw to skid.
Material feed hopper also is the reason for the injection machine screw skid.
